The Bid Desk

Privacy notice

Who we are. The Bid Desk is a trading name of MHDINTERNATIONAL LTD (company no. 11688504), the controller of the data described here. Contact: info@mhdint.com.

Introductory emails we sent in the past: in September 2026 we sent a small number of introductory emails to businesses. We found each company in a contract notice published on the UK government's Contracts Finder or Find a Tender service, which is open data under the Open Government Licence, and took a general business contact address from the company's own public website. We no longer send introductory emails; today we only reply to people who contact us.

What we still hold about those businesses: company name, the public notice, the business contact email, and a record of what we sent and whether you replied. We do not buy lists, share or sell details, or use tracking pixels.

To opt out or have that record deleted, reply STOP to the email or write to info@mhdint.com. We will not contact you again and will keep only the minimum record needed to honour that.

Site statistics: we count page visits, sample downloads and button clicks on this site without cookies, local storage or any identifier. For each event we record only its type, the page, the date and the name of the website or campaign that referred the visit — never your IP address, device details or anything that could identify you. To stop anyone inflating these counts, our server holds a one-way scrambled form of your connection address in memory for at most an hour, only to cap how many events one connection can record; it is never written to disk, logged or sent anywhere. Nothing is shared with advertising networks.

Chat box: if you open the chat box and send a question, the question is sent to our automated assistant, which answers only from our published site information using a third-party AI service. When you send your first question — not before — your browser stores a random session number in its session storage (not a cookie) so that we can limit how many questions one visit can ask. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab; on our side it is kept only until the end of that day, to count questions, and it is not linked to you. Answered questions are not stored; if the assistant fails, our error log may hold the question for troubleshooting. Please don't type personal details into the chat box.

What we hold about clients: the details you give at checkout, the categories you bid in, the tender and bid documents you choose to share, and our correspondence. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Your documents are used only for your own work, never for another client, and are deleted on request or within 30 days of the work finishing. Drafting uses third-party AI services as processors; your documents are not used to train them.

Legal basis: legitimate interests for the past business-to-business introductions, the site statistics and the chat box's question limit; contract for client services. You have the rights of access, correction, erasure and objection under UK GDPR, and can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
